The Multinational Association of Academia Collaboration (MAAC) and the Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU) — one of Ethiopia’s leading universities in science, technology, and innovation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at taking international academic collaboration to a new level.

This partnership focuses on creating sustainable, mutually beneficial connections between institutions, fostering innovation, knowledge exchange, and professional development. Through this collaboration, MAAC and AASTU aim to:

• Develop joint research projects addressing global challenges and local priorities,
• Facilitate academic exchanges for students, faculty, and researchers,
• Enhance the skills and expertise of academic staff to strengthen education and research capacity in both countries,
• Promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer to benefit local and global communities,
• Build long-term bridges between Ethiopia, Russia, and the wider international academic environment.
